من نفذ جريمة المرفأ وهل من محاسبة؟

فوجئ رواد مرفأ بيروت يوم أمس بجريمة قتل مروعة راح ضحيتها 10 كلاب على الأقل، بعد أن أقدم مجهولون على تسميمها بمواد شديدة السمية، فيما نجا كلبان، أنثى تدعى "ليا" وذكر يدعى "هامر"، من هذه الجريمة البشعة التي نُفذت بدم بارد. ومن بين الضحايا، جرو صغير حديث الولادة وهر.

المؤلم في هذه الحادثة أن الكلاب جميعها كانت معروفة بالأسماء، وتحظى برعاية جمعية متخصصة بحماية الحيوانات، حيث كانت تتلقى اللقاحات الدورية والعناية البيطرية اللازمة. كانت هذه الكلاب أليفة ومحبوبة من الجميع، تشكّل صداقة حقيقية مع رواد المرفأ والعمال هناك، وتتمتع بولاء يفوق أحيانًا ولاء البشر.

هذه الجريمة لن تمر مرور الكرام، كما غيرها من الجرائم. فما الفرق بين قتل هذه الكلاب البريئة وقتل البشر بغير وجه حق؟ ألا يستحق هؤلاء القتلة المحاسبة والعقاب الصارم ليكونوا عبرة لغيرهم؟ من سيتحرك لملاحقتهم؟
المطلوب من السلطات التحرك الفوري لتعقب الفاعلين وتقديمهم إلى العدالة. وإن لم تُحاسب الجهات المعنية المجرمين، فلن نتردد في اللجوء إلى القضاء الدولي ورفع دعوى ضد السلطات اللبنانية المتقاعسة عن حماية الحيوانات ومعاقبة المعتدين عليها. آن الأوان لأن يُدرك الجميع أن هذه الجريمة ليست مجرد حادثة عابرة، بل جريمة جزائية يعاقب عليها القانون!

Les visiteurs du port de Beyrouth ont été choqués hier par un crime atroce qui a coute la vie à au moins 10 chiens, empoisonnés avec des substances hautement toxiques par des criminels non identifiés. Deux chiens ont néanmoins survécu : une femelle nommée "Leia" et un mâle nommé "Hummer". Parmi les victimes se trouvaient également un jeune chiot nouveau-né et un chat.

Ce qui rend cette tragédie encore plus révoltante, c'est que tous ces chiens avaient des noms et bénéficiaient des soins d’une association spécialisée dans la protection des animaux. Ils recevaient régulièrement leurs vaccins et des soins vétérinaires appropriés. Ces chiens étaient dociles, aimés de tous, et entretenaient un lien profond avec les travailleurs et visiteurs du port, témoignant d'une loyauté souvent supérieure à celle des humains.

Ce crime ne passera pas inaperçu, comme tant d'autres avant lui. Quelle est la différence entre l'assassinat de ces chiens innocents et le meurtre d'êtres humains sans raison valable ? Ces criminels ne méritent-ils pas d’être poursuivis et sanctionnés sévèrement pour servir d’exemple ? Qui prendra l'initiative de les traquer et de les traduire en justice ?

Les autorités doivent agir immédiatement pour identifier et punir les coupables. Si elles échouent à le faire, nous n’hésiterons pas à saisir la justice internationale et à porter plainte contre les autorités libanaises pour leur négligence dans la protection des animaux et l'impunité accordée à leurs assassins. Il est temps de comprendre que ce crime n'est pas un simple incident, mais bien une infraction pénale passible de sanctions prévues par la loi!

Visitors to the port of Beirut were shocked yesterday by a horrific crime that claimed the lives of at least 10 dogs, poisoned with highly toxic substances by unidentified criminals. Two dogs, however, survived: a female named "Lia" and a male named "Hammer." Among the victims was also a young, newborn puppy and a cat.
What makes this tragedy even more appalling is that all these dogs had names and were under the care of an association specializing in animal protection. They regularly received their vaccinations and proper veterinary care. These dogs were gentle, loved by everyone, and formed a deep bond with the workers and visitors of the port, demonstrating a loyalty often greater than that of humans.
This crime will not go unnoticed, like so many others before it. What is the difference between the murder of these innocent dogs and the killing of human beings without valid reason? Do these criminals not deserve to be prosecuted and severely punished to set an example? Who will take the initiative to track them down and bring them to justice?

The authorities must act immediately to identify and punish the culprits. If they fail to do so, we will not hesitate to seek international justice and file a lawsuit against the Lebanese authorities for their negligence in protecting animals and the impunity granted to their killers. It is time to realize that this crime is not just an isolated incident, but a criminal offense punishable by law!
